I have found my new obsession…. JUICING!! And to be honest, it is not even about the weight loss that can come from doing it. But juicing for me is more about the health benefits! I have just been adding a small glass of freshly made juice to my breakfast every morning.
There are only a handful of vegetables that I actually like and I don’t eat as many servings of veggies as I should each day. Juicing allows me to get a good amount of veggies into my body, first thing in the morning. I am actually trying beets for the first time this week, and I am excited (before juicing I would have never tried them lol).
I’ve done a lot of research about juicing and there are always pros and cons to anything. The number one con I found for juicing is the lack of fiber. But this con is not a problem if you are not juicing full time. I am still able to get all of the fiber I need because I am only juicing once a day!
I don’t really follow any recipes for my juices, I just throw in some veggies that I think will work together. The first juice I made was with carrots, celery, pineapples, and ginger! IT WAS SOOO GOOD!! That was my first time trying ginger as well, and it was delicious. I will probably start using fresh ginger to cook with from now on because it not only tasted good, but it smelled great as well!!
