This year I have decided to break my year into quarters. It should be much easier for my brain to focus on 3 months rather than the entire year and this way I can alter my goals as needed. For quarter 1 of the year (January – March), I have given myself a hefty goal of losing 30 pounds! Even typing it seems overwhelming!
I know that this is a large goal but I am determined to lose the 30 pounds that I gained over 2018. If you recall, I finally hit my first major weight loss goal around March/April, only to regain 30 pounds throughout the rest of the year. My mental health suffered tremendously throughout this time and the cycle of continuously gaining and losing the same weight was exhausting and too much for me to tackle at the time. I decided to get serious about my mental health in November/December of 2018 and January 1, I finally felt strong enough to set a weight loss goal for myself!
Since January 1, 2019, I have lost 7 pounds! I am thrilled. I know that the weight will come off slower as I continue but I am going to enjoy losing these pounds quickly right now! I listed the following attributes to help me achieve my Q1 goal of 30 pounds:
- Drink at least 80 ounces of water per day
- Take multivitamin and vitamin D daily
- Workout at least 4 days per week
- Sleep at least 7 hours per night
For the most part, I have been able to keep my daily goals and my waistline is paying off! I will be sure to keep you all updated on how I do throughout these 3 months with my weight loss goals. I am hoping to report that I am 199 on April 1st. I believe that if I stay focused for the next three months, I will surprise myself and exceed my goals!
