Can’t believe 2018 is coming to a close. This year has literally flown by! But before I am totally done with 2018, I wanted to look back on some gains and losses that I have encountered this year.
1.) I completed my first 5k!
The Great Inflatable Race was a great introduction to the world of 5K races! I look forward to running in one that is more competitive in 2019.
2.) I got down to 175 lbs!
3.) I am now back up to 188!
Yea I know, that sucks a lot! I should have tapped in to more self-control, but the holidays, vacation and me just liking to eat got in the way lol. To be honest, I have finally come to terms with my weight gain and I am ready for a fresh start in the new year. I know I will see my goal weight of 160 by the halfway mark of 2019.
4.) I ran a mile in under 12 minutes!
This is probably what I am most proud of this year! When I first started working out with my trainer, it took me almost 20 minutes to get a mile done! A major goal of mine is to run a 10 minute mile. I am well on my way to accomplishing that!
5.) Bought my first size 12 dress!
This picture definitely makes me look waay smaller than I actually am, but when I went to try on this dress I went for a size 14 first, I noticed that it was a little loose, so I said hey why not try a size 12. I was pretty surprised when the zipper slid up oh so smoothly lol.
6.) Vacationed in Dubai!
Visiting Dubai would have definitely been in my highlight reel of 2018. Malisa and I had such a good time there! We are still planning on sharing a post of our trip in Dubai, to give some tips and tricks!
Looking back, I know I could have done a lot better with my weight loss this year, but the past is behind me and I am looking forward to 2019. I am feeling more determined than ever to get these last 30 pounds off. I know it will happen, I just need to maintain self-control when it comes to my eating, and maintain discipline when it comes to working out! All in all, I had more gains than losses this year and for that I am grateful!
